K.W. Hoffman was born and raised in South Arkansas. Growing up as a kid in the 1970's and as a teen in the 1980's he was inspired by various music of the times and the music being played in the area that he lived in. Blues from the delta, country, southern rock and classic rock were just some of his influences. He had a passion for writing songs and playing music and later in life he decided to take his music to the stage. In March 2007 he landed an appearance on ABC's "The Next Best Thing" performing as a Hank Williams Jr. Impersonator. He had success with this act but the judges on the show said he should drop the act and perform his own music. That same year he recorded an acoustic album of original songs. He performed various gigs at bars, clubs, private events, coffee houses, etc. He submitted some of his songs to various radio stations and he won KSSN Radio's "Home Grown Artist" of the week in Feb. 2009. His music has been featured on KSSN's "Home Grown Country Show" several times by request. He won Runner Up in a jingle contest for Turtle Wax in 2009. In 2012 he was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer and he received chemo and radiation treatments. He is now in remission.
